Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Linux developers to ensure high code quality and adherence to open-source practices.
  • Design and implement core OS components, including kernel modifications and user-space tools for enhanced security and performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware and security teams to ensure broad device compatibility.
  • Work with a project manager to define technical roadmaps and prioritize tasks, addressing risks promptly.
  • Provide hands-on project leadership, including development and recruiting key personnel.
  • Conduct code and architecture reviews to optimize system stability and performance.
  • Stay informed on advancements in the Linux ecosystem and incorporate relevant innovations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Linux OS development, including kernel programming and low-level system development in C/C++.
  • Proven leadership in Linux distributions or related open-source projects.
  • Essential experience with immutability, containerization, virtualization, and cross-device portability.
  • Strong understanding of operating system principles and security models.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Highly desirable: Experience leading Linux engineering teams and collaborating with open-source communities.

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills are essential.
