The Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in bridging business objectives with technical execution. This hybrid position combines hands-on engineering, architectural leadership, and team enablement. The Tech Lead is responsible for the technical execution and delivery quality within their Business Unit, ensuring systems are built to high standards of reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical point of accountability for the Service Market Making Business Unit.
- Balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery, ensuring systems are robust and address immediate needs.
- Champion collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment between product, design, QA, and engineering.
- Inspire and develop engineers through mentorship and technical guidance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in a Technical Leadership position guiding teams and driving complex projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Rust; knowledge of Node.js and Python is advantageous.
- Experience with data-intensive architectures and real-time data pipelines.
- Proven track record of deploying and optimising AWS environments.
- Familiarity with containerisation and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Solid command of software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with domain knowledge of finance and trading, particularly in cryptocurrency.
Language Requirements: Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
