As the Technical Leader, you will be responsible for the technical solutions delivered to customers. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact during the tender and design phases. This role involves managing design proposals, specifications, drawings, and other documentation to evaluate the feasibility, cost implications, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. You will ensure that customer requirements are met and that their best interests are protected throughout the project. In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team on medium and large technical complexity projects.
Main Responsibilities:
During Tender Phase:
- Participate in project programming with clients to document project requirements.
- Manage design documents to support proposals, assisting the estimating team with cost assemblies.
- Identify major infrastructure equipment and create bid specifications for significant equipment.
- Review major equipment quotes for technical compliance.
During Design Phase:
- Utilize engineering skills to implement safe, reliable, and economical systems.
- Develop the basis of design (BOD) for projects, including design intent and project-specific requirements.
- Manage design documents for approvals and coordinate with sub-consultants for cohesive documentation.
During Production and Delivery Phase:
- Manage responses to requests for information (RFI).
- Provide regular onsite assessments and participate in construction meetings.
- Assist the production team with design document clarifications and manage as-built drawings.
Main Interactions:
- Reports to the PreFab Tendering team Leader.
- Internal collaboration with Project Engineers, Sales Managers, Project Managers, and others.
- External interactions with customers and suppliers.
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Over five years of experience in Infrastructure Projects with multinational companies.
- At least three years of technical experience in Data Center Solutions.
- Strong communication, customer-facing skills, and team leadership experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage project timelines effectively.
- Experience in developing technical documents and evaluating vendor offers.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required.
