Responsibilities
- Define KPIs for the teams aligned with departmental goals and objectives, ensuring all communications, reports, and updates are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure technologies comply with corporate security policies and procedures; manage audit observations, risks, and exceptions.
- Provide 3rd level support for the relevant technology environment to the Incident and Problem Management teams, ensuring efficient root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with all IT teams to deliver products and services that contribute to organizational growth.
- Set clear performance objectives, implement performance management plans, and allocate resources effectively.
- Identify and develop needed products or services by creating Business Cases and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Manage team and technology budgets, ensuring financial transparency and cost control.
- Work closely with vendor management teams to monitor SLAs and manage contracts effectively.
- Provide technical consultancy and guidance to team members and project teams, including expertise for defining architecture strategies and standards.
- Identify areas of improvement in existing technologies, drive projects through assigned project managers.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3).
- 8+ Years in information technology or relevant field.
Knowledge/Skills
- Data Center Design Fundamentals: Understanding of power, cooling, and cabling requirements.
- Capacity Planning: Ability to forecast space, power, and cooling needs.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks in data center operations.
- Advanced Infrastructure Knowledge: In-depth understanding of redundancy, high availability, and Tier classifications.
- Critical Systems Management: Expertise in UPS, generators, cooling systems, and fire suppression.
- Compliance & Standards: Familiarity with ANSI/TIA-942, ISO standards, and local regulations.
- Operational Management: Developing and enforcing SOPs and MOPs for facility operations.
- Maintenance Strategy: Preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
- Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Handling emergencies and restoring services quickly.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Implementing green practices and optimizing power usage.
Certifications
- Certified Data Center Professional Training (CDCP).
- Certified Data Center Specialist Training (CDCS).
- Certified Data Center Facilities Operation Management (CDFOM).
- Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Specialist (CDFOS®).
