The Technical Manager will lead and manage all technical aspects of the QIC – Maglis project, ensuring designs, engineering solutions, and site execution comply with project requirements, client standards, and applicable codes. The role will act as the primary technical interface between the client, consultants, contractors, and the internal project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall technical governance for a high-end, fast-track mixed-use development under supervision & PMC.
  • Act as the ultimate on-site technical authority across all disciplines and packages.
  • Ensure strict compliance with design intent, IFC drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Manage integration of design and construction in a fast-track delivery environment.
  • Coordinate complex interfaces between buildings, utilities, infrastructure, and public realm works.
  • Oversee review and approval of shop drawings, method statements, and high-end material submittals.
  • Resolve technical issues proactively to maintain programme, quality, and constructability.
  • Protect architectural, functional, and aesthetic excellence expected of iconic developments.
  • Lead technical risk identification, mitigation, and NCR resolution.
  • Support change management, value engineering, and variation technical assessments.
  • Represent the Engineer in technical discussions with clients, designers, contractors, and authorities.
  • Lead and mentor discipline engineers while providing clear technical reporting to project leadership.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including experience as a Technical Manager or similar role on large-scale building or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international and local codes, standards, and best practices.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong technical and engineering expertise across multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering/design software and MS Office.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
