Technical Manager

About the Role
The Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing complex technical projects, managing multiple projects and work streams concurrently. This role includes the review of the work of Technical Managers and overseeing the Technical Team. The position requires ensuring thorough technical investigation, design optimization, and maintaining proper liaison with statutory authorities. It also involves producing necessary documentation and drawings to maximize efficiency and optimize technical excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation of all technical strategies and operational goals to surpass customer expectations for product development, quality, cost, and delivery, while maximizing efficiency and driving technical excellence.
• Identify and resolve technical design and constructional problems.
• Ensure a safe working environment within company workplaces, in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
• Manage the technical team on the project site, providing direction, strategy, daily/weekly/monthly tasks, and work plans for team members.
• Maintain strong relationships with all project key stakeholders and technical team members.
• Increase the efficiency of the technical team’s performance using innovative approaches.
• Ensure quality deliverables are produced within budget constraints for staffing.
• Contribute to significant strategic decisions and directions for ongoing projects.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Strong practical experience with the capability to prepare detailed method statements.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent understanding of material engineering properties and the local/global availability of materials.
• Exceptional technical skills with the ability to organize and oversee the preparation of technical drawings.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required for success in this role.

Job Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of working experience, including at least 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
• Experience in the GCC region for at least 2 years is a plus.

Education

• High School Diploma or professional degree in a related technical field or technical certificates.
