About the Job
We are looking for a Technical Operations Engineer (TOPS) to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Initial role will be in London, UK, while the simulation center is being constructed. In this role, you will support the Advanced Capabilities team in delivering integrated hardware-software military solutions that meet operational needs for our partners.

What You'll Do

• Serve in a customer-facing capacity within the Air Maneuver Dominance / Advanced Capabilities team, collaborating directly with EDGE and the Emirati Ministry of Defense to develop and deploy the company's integrated products.
• Support the delivery of contract deliverables by planning, setting up, configuring, and testing equipment and software, focusing on immersive wargaming simulations and Augmented Reality demonstrations.
• Manage in-depth multi-day Wargaming Exercises, involving the deployment and recovery of AR/VR and hardware equipment, as well as troubleshooting actions in field environments.
• Own the deployment of the company's Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality, gaming engine, and mission simulation software at demonstration events, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
• Build relationships and streamline processes across Software, Hardware, Logistics, Growth, and Engineering teams to ensure rapid delivery of an effective experience.
• Design and implement user feedback loops and After Action Reviews to gather and triage requirements, challenges, and issues encountered during training and events.
• Provide input to product and engineering teams to enhance the company's Virtual Warfare products based on user experience.
• Support end-users by developing content that integrates seamlessly into existing systems and enhances engagement with advanced warfare concepts.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including Project Managers, Operations Analysts, Engineers, and leadership, to improve user feedback and engagement systems.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience working across a diverse set of clients and operational environments, providing excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills, effectively engaging with internal teams and external clients.
• Experience in problem solving, planning, and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance for complex and potentially classified exercises.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to working in the UAE, while participating in collaboration with teammates in the UK and USA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering and troubleshooting AR/VR technologies, virtual servers, and related software.
• Familiarity with military operations, tactics, and procedures.
• Proficient with tools such as Confluence, Jira, Slack, MS Office, and Zoom for organization and communication.
• Experience with military technology, including unmanned systems and electronic warfare equipment.
• Ability to build trust quickly with clients and teammates under stress.
• Previous military or government leadership experience.

Travel and Contract Details
