As a Technical Product Manager, you will support the delivery of technology products and solutions and ensure the effectiveness of all technology features aligned to the Product’s vision and roadmap. Lead a team of Technical Product Owners (TPO) to understand, assess, and decompose prioritized initiatives into Technical Features within engineering team backlogs, focusing on MVP (Minimum Viable Product). You will have experience of Crew Management systems or knowledge of Crew Engagement and Operations processes such as the overall Crew Journey including Crew Training, compliance and qualification tracking, preferably within a large international airline or a service provider to airlines and/or aviation companies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with TPOs, peer groups, vendors, and other IT stakeholder groups to deliver ongoing and future Program Increment Planning (PIs).
  • Lead a team of TPOs through collaboration, delegation, and empowerment to ensure effective delivery of our technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and service management teams to ensure the overall backlogs are balanced to provide a scalable, user experience-optimized, stable, and performant technology product.
  • Participate in Sprint demos at the team level and assist in the preparation of system demos and other levels of involvement across a suite of Demos and Visual Release Notes.
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of the data held in the Product Catalogue for your specific Product/s.
  • Develop and mentor TPOs, supporting their professional development.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of the data held in the Product catalogue and features within the technical and team boundaries.
  • Drive the partnership with applicable product vendors, ensuring timely feature/product upgrades, and maximizing the product's efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent Degree in Information Technology, Operations Research, Computer Science, Business or Management Information Systems or e-Commerce.
  • 5+ years of practical experience working as a Technical Product Manager or Product Owner.
  • Well-versed in the tools for the technical product aspects of software delivery.
  • Strong communication skills at peer, line, and stakeholder levels.
  • Ability to lead by example using evidence, information, and data to empower people and lead changes.
  • Demonstrated technical or domain expertise within the specific areas of Airline Operations, with a strong emphasis on Crew Management, Crew Engagement and Crew Operations.
  • Demonstrated evidence of knowledge in refining Business requirements and user stories, elaborating them clearly with detailed acceptance criteria and dependencies highlighted.
  • Independently lead requirements planning and requirements gathering sessions with a range of business stakeholders and end users.
