Responsibilities

  • Own the backlogs of work spread across feature, function, non-functional (NFR), BAU, Technical Debt, spikes, and ceremonies.
  • Act as a voice of the customer, partnering with business counterparts to lead the lifecycle for designated technology products and their underlying applications.
  • Be responsible for the story content, acceptance criteria definition, and end story "sign off" across team backlogs, ensuring prepared on time for future PIs.
  • Ensure Technical Debt and Non-functional requirements are captured, refined, and prioritized across all sprints.
  • Cover Resource Management for the dnata portfolio (resource planning, rostering, scheduling etc).
  • Capture additional BAU, Ceremony, and Spike activities, and incorporate them into team backlogs, within the boundaries of available capacity.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of features within their technical and team boundaries, ensuring identification and contribution of risks and dependencies back to the Product Portfolio backlog.
  • Define metrics to measure the success and performance of prioritized work.
  • Contribute to the Product Management Communities and their continual evolution to help drive efficient practices and empowered teams.

Requirements

  • Degree or honours (12+3 or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology (Operations Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems, e-Commerce or a combination of industry certification and 5+ years of relevant experience).
  • 2+ years of practical experience working as a Product Owner/Manager or within an operational resource management environment.
  • Strong and concise communicator at peer, line, and stakeholder levels.
  • Appetite for building and identifying value, with a customer centric mind-set.
  • Domain experience in rostering, scheduling, or allocation ideally in aviation/logistics is highly advantageous.

Advantageous

  • Global Product (CSPO/SAFe/PSPO) trained and certified.
  • Well-versed with the tools for the Product Management aspects of software delivery.
