Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager at the company in Abu Dhabi will lead and manage complex digital transformation projects, focusing on the oil and gas sector. Your role will involve overseeing and orchestrating projects that leverage digital solutions to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and foster innovation. You will bridge the gap between technology and business objectives, ensuring successful project delivery in this ever-evolving landscape.

Responsibilities

• Prepare overall project implementation plans with milestones.
• Manage end-to-end project implementation.
• Manage the project using Agile methodology.
• Prepare all project documentation including the final project report.
• Report to Head of Projects for all project progress and execution concerns.
• Develop detailed Cost/Benefit Analysis for subcontracting options and internal development.
• Plan and monitor project execution during product development with a team of data scientists and software engineers.
• Coordinate releases across multiple teams.
• Plan and manage the project budget CAPEX and OPEX.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project outcomes and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 12 years of experience in project management, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Proven experience in technology-related projects for the Oil & Gas and Energy Industry.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Expert in SLDC and technology projects, with prior experience in handling AI and Big Data projects.
• Expert user of MS Project, Jira, or comparable tools.
