This position offers an exciting opportunity as a Technical Project Manager in the dynamic realm of digital technology, particularly within the oil and gas sector. You will lead projects that leverage digital solutions to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation in the energy industry. The role requires bridging the gap between technology and business objectives, ensuring successful project delivery amid the evolving landscape.
Responsibilities
- Prepare overall project implementation plans with milestones.
- Manage end-to-end project implementation using Agile methodology.
- Execute all project phases according to the project scope of work.
- Prepare project documentation including the final project report.
- Report all project progress and execution concerns to the Project Owner.
- Develop and prepare tender packages in cooperation with stakeholders.
- Review and evaluate technical proposals with assigned focal points.
- Conduct detailed Cost/Benefit Analysis for sub-contracting options vs. internal development.
- Monitor project execution during product development.
- Organize and moderate team meetings and agile ceremonies.
- Identify and remove obstacles, and maintain a risk register.
- Coordinate releases across multiple teams.
- Plan and manage project budgets (CAPEX and OPEX).
- Participate in team development and ensure timely completion of activities.
- Communicate project progress, updates, and risks to stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop policies, processes, and systems per best practices and company standards.
- Manage internal and external audits to ensure timely action on audit recommendations.
- Collaborate with ADNOC Stakeholders and Technology providers to develop detailed scope of work.
- Assist the Product Manager in prioritizing and splitting requirements into deliverable user stories.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:
- At least 12 years of project management experience in Oil & Gas industries (ADNOC prior experience is preferred).
- Proven experience in managing large-scale technology projects in the energy sector.
- Familiarity with AI and Big Data projects is essential.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in the industry.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
- Proficient in using Jira or a comparable project management tool.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing technology and web-based applications.
- Candidates with on-site experience in reservoir, production, or drilling will be preferred.
- Experience with Data Management and Artificial Intelligence solutions is a plus.
