Position

The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) is a strategic role that uniquely combines technical expertise with commercial leadership to drive project success across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Reporting to the MEA Power & Water Solutions Sales Director, the TSS leads the complete technical sales cycle for assigned projects, serving as a critical bridge between Sales, Project Pursuit, Proposal teams, and customers.

This role requires the ability to identify customer pain points and power structures, lead technical discussions, and translate complex requirements into compelling, winning solutions. The TSS provides strategic technical and commercial guidance for high-value pursuits, supporting qualification processes and helping teams develop competitive strategies. The position also entails full sales ownership and responsibility for small to mid-sized projects, requiring end-to-end management from opportunity identification to closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Pursuit Process and best practices to ensure efficient sales operations.
  • Lead the solution architecture for projects, selecting the best execution models from the company and SYSS portfolios.
  • Address technical queries and discussions with customers, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth comparisons of various market solutions, supporting customers with cost-benefit analyses.
  • Collaborate with other product segments to maximize the value proposition for customers.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets by effectively promoting the company's solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in the process automation/controls system domain.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of the company's and SYSS product portfolios.
  • Excellent technical knowledge on DCS, SIS, VMS, and Cybersecurity Guidelines.
  • Experience in leading large megaprojects and understanding the costing and tendering processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the company's Systems and Solutions proposal or Sales support team.
  • Familiarity with at least one competitor's systems.
