Technical Security Expert

The Global Services, Security (GSS) team, part of Amazon Web Services, focuses on establishing scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers. The AWS Security Assurance Services (AWS SAS) team works with large enterprise customers to address security and compliance requirements using cloud native technology. This role is centered on leveraging automation and event-driven computing to attain continuous compliance and redefining traditional security measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical security assessments and advisory engagements that include architecture and compliance guidance.
• Collaborate with industry and standards bodies to create security guidance that maximizes cloud technology benefits.
• Develop a high-performing team of consultants to support customers in migrating their workloads and regulated data into the cloud, meeting specific risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Engage in business development, assisting AWS sellers in positioning your team's value within customer projects and building long-term relationships.
• Scope and lead on-site engagements with partners and customers, understanding their security and compliance needs while proposing tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to integrate partner and customer feedback into AWS technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security assessments and advisory roles within cloud computing environments.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and risk management methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
