Responsibilities
- Design and install machine layouts and related infrastructure.
- Commission new machines and upgrades, ensuring smooth installation and startup.
- Optimize machine layouts and footprint for efficiency.
- Oversee preventive programs and strategical spare parts management.
- Monitor machine efficiency, waste reduction, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to hand over projects to Business Unit Process Engineers.
- Lead machine projects for improved run-ability, upgrades, and additional features.
- Propose machine upgrades in line with new technology advancements.
- Initiate and implement cost savings and containment programs.
- Validate Return on Investments (ROIs) periodically by updating actualized figures and analyzing results.
- Provide guidelines to the maintenance department to support preventive tasks.
- Assist in identifying, selecting, and specifying spare parts and critical parts, along with validating suppliers.
- Review technical specifications, tender documents, and sales offers, creating comparative sheets and decision matrices for management approval.
- Coordinate project timing and resources for the installation and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery.
- Propose technical solutions for recurring machine problems or breakdowns.
- Recommend new technical procedures and tools to enhance plant efficiency.
