The primary objective of this role is to ensure the continued airworthiness, reliability, safety, and operational performance of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. This is achieved by providing technical engineering support, evaluating regulatory requirements and technical modifications, managing reliability and maintenance programs, and coordinating with manufacturers, service providers, and internal stakeholders. The incumbent will maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements while driving continuous improvements in avionics system performance, maintenance effectiveness, and operational reliability.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently coordinate with other departments regarding Technical Projects to achieve high-quality technical standards acceptable to the airworthiness authority and the company.
- Review Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), modifications, reliability issues, and maintenance programs related to avionics/electrical systems.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of information/history relevant to each aircraft and its electronics and electrical systems, including modification data.
- Establish and enforce compliance with applicable rules, policies, and procedures; ensure that Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies are adhered to and recommend updates accordingly.
- Review and coordinate proposal preparations, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation, and administration of contracts thereby supporting the Manager Technical Services to arrive at the best option and undertake necessary action steps.
- Oversee and manage the maintenance, inspection, and modification of aircraft electronics and electrical systems, including communications, navigation, surveillance, flight management, cockpit displays, electrical power generation/distribution, and aircraft software.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and airworthiness requirements.
- Provide engineering support for system malfunctions, component reliability, and overhaul programs.
- Lead investigations into any issues with aircraft avionics systems, ensuring accurate root cause analysis and timely resolution.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and external vendors to source parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs or modifications.
- Ensure that all maintenance and modification activities are documented accurately and comply with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain and update technical records, including inspection reports, service bulletins, and maintenance logs.
- Contribute to the development of aircraft maintenance programs related to aircraft electronics and electrical systems, ensuring alignment with fleet requirements and operational goals.
- Monitor and ensure that scheduled maintenance related to avionics is completed on time, minimizing aircraft downtime and maximizing fleet availability.
- Liaise with other departments, including Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement, to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
- Communicate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely supply of parts and services for related aircraft electronics and electrical systems.
- Provide technical advice and support to the team, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering instructions, assessments, and recommendations.
- Identify areas for improvement in maintenance procedures and contribute to the implementation of solutions that enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest technical developments, tools, and regulations in the field of aircraft avionics.
- Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Manager Technical Services.
Requirements
- Graduate in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Strong experience with aircraft inspection, repair, and modification.
