Technical Superintendent

The Technical Superintendent is responsible for the overall management and technical operations of the vessels under their responsibility. Key duties include overseeing daily maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey scheduling, and onboard assessments of vessels. They ensure compliance with Class and Statutory regulations while operating vessels safely, efficiently, and economically, maintain the classification status, and submit monthly survey status reports. The role includes supporting and monitoring onboard Planned Preventive Maintenance to ensure cost-effective management, budgeting for technical elements, overseeing the installation and certification of third-party equipment, and liaising with Vessel Masters and Chief Engineers for technical advice and assistance. Additionally, they coordinate and supervise service repairs, prepare dry-dock specifications, update vessel repair and docking information in the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), liaise with customers on technical matters, and collaborate with the Purchasing department for tracking purchase requisitions.

Qualifications: Unlimited STCW ’95 Chief Engineer’s license (Motor) for sea-going vessels or an engineering degree/diploma in mechanics/electromechanical engineering. Candidates must maintain high technical knowledge, ensuring personal development through training and self-development.
