As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that communicates complex financial technology concepts to various stakeholders. Your contributions will play a vital role in improving product understanding, enabling knowledge transfer, and ensuring a seamless user experience for our financial services platform.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to gather insights, translate technical information into accessible language, and maintain documentation standards. In addition to writing, you will help foster a strong documentation culture and contribute to continuous improvements in communication practices organization-wide.

This position requires you to work onsite in Abu Dhabi within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for fintech applications and platforms.
  • Create and update user manuals, API guides, release notes, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into accessible content.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Manage documentation repositories for easy access by internal teams and external users.
  • Incorporate user feedback and product updates to keep all materials current and relevant.
  • Uphold high standards of clarity, accuracy, and quality across all documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve fintech documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in technical writing or a related role.
  • Proven ability to create technical documentation for software products.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or technology documentation (preferred).
  • Proficiency with documentation tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence, GitBook, Notion).
  • Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
  • Skills in research, content organization, and gathering information.
  • Hands-on experience with diagramming, visualization, collaboration, and project management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear text and visuals.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman).
  • Knowledge of markup languages (e.g., Markdown, HTML).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
