Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Isolate and energize Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) motors, UPS, transformers, generators, and other electrical circuits as per the company’s enabling certificate authorization, performing skilled electrical fault finding, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of high and low voltage equipment.
  • Accept and complete the Electrical isolation confirmation certificate to ensure completion of activities.
  • Identify and obtain spare parts and the necessary tools to meet maintenance requirements.
  • Carry out routine, predictive, and preventive maintenance checks on electrical equipment, including visual inspection, to ensure that the equipment is operating efficiently.
  • Undertake new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment through various stages as per plan and under the supervisor’s instructions, ensuring adherence to all parameters.
  • Identify areas for improvement in performed activities and assist senior section personnel in carrying out modifications and improvements to the system.
  • Verify completed maintenance activities and fill out the maintenance activity sheet/survey to confirm compliance with requirements.
  • Complete necessary records in the system to provide work order failure history reporting and contribute to the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near miss reports.
  • Update and maintain drawings, records, and other documents related to electrical maintenance to ensure continuous availability.

Minimum Qualification

  • Diploma in Electrical discipline / Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 4 years of experience in maintaining electrical equipment within a large industrial plant, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.

  • Physical Effort: Minimal
  • Work Environment: A/C environment with occasional exposure to prevailing weather conditions such as heat, humidity, and dust during site visits.
