Position

We are looking for an ELV Systems Technician who will ensure satisfactory completion of the allocated planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and remedial repairs on the Fire Alarm and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) services and the associated equipment. The ideal candidate should be able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player. Strong communication skills, flexibility, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to identify key issues are essential. The technician must be able to work under stringent deadlines and in a high-pressure environment. This role is part of our Technical team in Abu Dhabi.

Location: Rihan Heights, Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: Full-time

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carry out and oversee the planned and reactive maintenance on the Fire Alarm System and ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, PA, Data Networks, Lighting Control, Car Park Management System, Pneumatic Tube System, Satellite & TV Networks, etc.) and associated equipment.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair Fire/ELV equipment and maintain/update records daily.
  • Manage specialist subcontractors and obligations of the equipment Defects Liability Period effectively.
  • Conduct regular tests on equipment to determine operating reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage the requisition of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Provide end users with oral and written instructions for Fire/ELV equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Assist in monitoring utility consumption and update records as required.
  • Integrate and communicate effectively with other trades (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and Civil).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge for the safe and efficient performance of all duties.
  • Participate in overtime, shift work, and out-of-hours working as necessary to maintain continuity of essential operations.

Specific Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a large complex service organization.
  • Experience in direct line management of staff.
  • Familiarity with employment relations issues such as disciplinary procedures and absence control.
  • Diploma/degree in computer, electronics, or IT Engineering.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • IT and word processing skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a demanding environment.
