Responsibilities
Instrument & Control Maintenance
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance work, repair, and testing of equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standards to fulfill the requirements of work requests or work orders.
- Participate in assigned plant shutdown activities and ensure timely completion of job activities.
- Verify completed maintenance activities to ensure that the job is performed as per requirement and complete the maintenance activity sheet.
- Conduct inspections to identify any developing problems in the assigned area and report any issues.
- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test various types of process control instruments and relay logic to maintain instrumentation systems as designed.
- Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on-site during scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns to ensure the availability of all equipment in reliable conditions and prevent unforeseen trips.
- Perform field and/or system modifications of control elements and/or control loops as per plant change requests and assist in updating related plant drawings to reflect actual changes, enhancing plant operations in line with the management of change procedures.
- Assist in upgrading and retrofitting new control instruments to existing panels in the field and main control room as required to complete modifications and the PCR in line with standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to accomplish operational objectives.
- Provide on-the-job training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
- Maintain all tools, safety gear, and equipment provided by the company in working condition, and arrange for repair or replacement when necessary.
- Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards, and inform the Maintenance Supervisor if additional resources are required.
- Contribute to identifying areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in operating procedures, functional processes, machinery, or equipment.
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls, and applicable legislation, following sustainability guidelines in line with international standards and best practices.
- Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment before, during, and after executing jobs, in line with established standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
- Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for company management.
- Assist in the preparation of method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification:
- Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
- Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- 4 years of experience.
- Revenues/Budget: As per approved financial budget.
- Direct Reports: As per organization chart.
- Indirect Reports: As per organization chart.

- Physical Effort: Minimal.
- Work Environment: A/C environment; potential exposure to prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity, and dust during occasional site visits.
