As a Technician I - IT Data Center Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic and structured cabling systems, as well as GSM mobile systems infrastructure within data center environments.
- Optimizing network connectivity, enhancing hardware and network performance, and managing electrical systems across various data centers and commercial buildings.
- Ensuring the reliability of cabling infrastructure and critical systems within data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center equipment, including servers, storage, and networking systems.
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (fiber optic, copper), ensuring proper cable management.
- Manage and monitor power loads across Rack PDUs to prevent circuit overloads.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware installations, configurations, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate maintenance of GSM mobile systems with relevant ISPs and third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards during cabling installations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+/Network+ or CCNA certifications.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT or data center operations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with efficient problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and work in data center environments with fluctuating conditions.
- Basic knowledge of structured cabling systems and safe working practices.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call for 24/7 support.
- Basic knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure or edge computing concepts.
- Proficiency in data center monitoring tools and familiarity with MS Office and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
