Technician

As a Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and troubleshooting on electro-optical (EO) systems. Your key responsibilities will include assembling and disassembling mechanical and optical sub-assemblies, troubleshooting EO systems, and performing various testing and alignment procedures. You will ensure the proper handling and usage of tools and equipment during maintenance activities, while adhering to safety and cleanroom standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical and optical sub-assemblies under supervision, including mounting of optical elements and installation on optical benches.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of EO systems, including power supplies, optics, and control units, in accordance with approved procedures.
• Carry out calibration, alignment, functional checks, and acceptance testing as directed, including ESS testing and return-to-service activities.
• Operate standard alignment and test equipment as trained (autocollimators, interferometers, beam profilers, spectrophotometers).
• Assist in alignment of optical components (lenses, mirrors) to meet defined performance requirements.
• Document maintenance activities, test results, equipment usage, and assembly records in accordance with quality requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or College graduate in Electronics, Optics, Mechanical, or related field.
• Basic understanding of EO systems or optical components (training will be provided).
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Advanced English level.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of safety and cleanroom practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently under guidance and as part of a team.
