Technician: Renewable Energy Grid Solutions

The Technician will be responsible for site installation and commissioning of GIS and AIS switch gear. During the Service, GE will provide assignments, projects, and tasks related to the technician's major, allowing them to develop leadership capabilities, communication skills, and gain exposure to the work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Hands-on work experience in E&C of 230 & 380 KV substations.
• Knowledge of electrical systems of electrical switchgear equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical substations.
• Understanding and executing repair and preventive maintenance.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings and diagnose issues in equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of substations.
• Maintain back-office reporting, test reports, and customer documentation at the site.
• Consult and coordinate with OEM for unsolved repair problems.
• Provide technical assistance as needed for the installation or pre-arrangement of projects.
• Perform all duties as part of a team or as site lead to delegate responsibilities to the site team.
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity continuous improvement.
• Understand the importance of safety at the site and perform LOTO operations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of onsite experience in Electrical Fields.
• Knowledge of electrical systems of electrical switchgear equipment.
• Must be willing to move within Saudi Arabia as per business requirements.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and emails.
• The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship (KSA National preferred).
