Position

The role holder is responsible for defining and executing Technology Architecture Governance standards and guidelines, reviewing architectural proposals, mitigating risks, and maintaining the Enterprise Architecture repository to support coherent and efficient architecture across the TUs. This position exists to evaluate and assess the potential risks associated with architecture and ensure compliance measures mitigate risks effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and comprehensive guidelines for architecture standards, and collaborate with Group Architecture Governance & Enablement to communicate such for the company group subsidiaries.
  • Manage the review of architectural proposals and changes, making it predictable and efficient for teams to submit requests following standardized processes.
  • Approve architecture standards being created or updated, ensuring communication to necessary stakeholders.
  • Ensure that architectural standards are optimal to reflect current market trends and best practices, providing transparency in decision-making.
  • Evaluate and assess the potential risks associated with architecture changes and ensure compliance measures effectively mitigate these risks.
  • Work on reviews and updates of architectural standards and processes as technology and business needs evolve over time.
  • Evaluate and assess the details of RFPs requirements, providing recommendations and options to the TUs sectors and making decisions on project continuations.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on EA repository to end users and present materials discussed and reviewed by the capability owner.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-4 years in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in leading Enterprise PMO/Program/Project Management and execution at an organizational level.
  • Preferred prior experience in hardware/software asset management at a large scale.
  • Experience in OSP implementation projects and managing integration and optimization of project portfolios in a large telecommunications organization.
  • Background in Fiber construction management and design of copper and fiber optic facilities in various applications.

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence C-level executives.
  • Sound knowledge of the telecom industry, related technology, and vendors/platform landscape.
  • Strong change management and project management principles.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage relationships effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of fibers and digital loop electronics fundamentals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology.
  • Master’s Degree in Electronics (preferred).

Additional Education Certifications

  • Certification in Advanced Program/Project Management (PMP/Prince 2) or equivalent.
  • Relevant certification in telecommunications such as Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS).
  • Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP).
