About
The role holder is responsible for executing the Technology Asset Governance including developing policies, procedures, and processes for hardware and software asset management. This position ensures proper governance and utilization of technology assets and oversees the budgeting and procurement of new assets. The role holder shall carry out duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Propose solutions for potential overlaps, duplications, and other efficiency improvement opportunities through simplification, integration, re-use, and rationalization of the technology asset base.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and increase utilization of technology assets and solutions.
  • Lead the development of policies, procedures, and processes for hardware/software asset management.
  • Manage periodic audits and provide reconciliation reports between purchased and actually implemented licenses.
  • Monitor changes to technology asset hardware/software & license assets and ensure reflection in the assets governance system.
  • Oversee budgeting and procurement of new assets including market research, negotiations, and acquisition.
  • Develop deployment plans, conduct testing and quality assurance measures, and update inventory repository with relevant information once assets are deployed.
  • Maintain a list of retired assets and develop effective retirement and disposal plans while incorporating learnings from previously retired assets.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 - 4 years in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in leading Enterprise PMO/Program/Project Management and execution at an organizational level.
  • Preferred prior experience in hardware/software asset management at a large scale.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence C-level executives.
  • Sound knowledge of the telecom industry, related technology, and vendors/platform landscape.
  • Relevant Bachelor Degree in Technology or Systems.

Education & Certifications

  • Certification in Advanced Program/Project Management (PMP/Prince 2) or equivalent.
  • Relevant certification in telecommunications such as Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS).
  • Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP).
