The Technology Engineer will join the Group IT Technology Chapter to support the design, build, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cloudera CDP, automation, DevOps, containerization, and platform operations within complex, high-availability environments. The successful candidate will report to the VP Technology Chapter and collaborate closely with various teams for day-to-day delivery and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and support Cloudera CDP platforms.
- Provide Tier 2 production support for Cloudera environments, focusing on maintenance, security, observability, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot Spark, Hive, and YARN jobs, collaborating with data engineering teams.
- Drive automation across platform operations, including security and regulatory checks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automation using Shell, Terraform, Groovy, Ansible, and Python.
- Support containerization and management using tools like Podman, Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various technical domains.
- Apply Agile, DevOps, and product management practices to ensure reliable and secure technology services.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Key Technologies:
- Cloudera CDP, Cloudera Data Services, Spark, Hive, YARN, Ansible, Terraform, Shell scripting, Groovy, Python, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Linux.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of engineering or operational experience, including 1 year in a technology engineering or platform operations role.
- Hands-on experience with Cloudera CDP platform operations.
- Understanding of Linux, cloud computing, DevOps, and automation principles.
- Experience in large, high-availability enterprise environments.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and build relationships with stakeholders.
