The Technology Engineer in this role will be responsible for delivering activities related to the Design, Development, Implementation, Standardization, Automation, and Capacity Planning within a Banking Project. While direct management of day-to-day operational activities is not expected, the engineer will focus on finding optimal solutions based on infrastructure and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design solutions to enhance operational stability.
- Address problem tickets, risk, and audit items in the product backlog.
- Collaborate with multiple services and make autonomous decisions that benefit the business and customers in IT.
- Solve recurring problems and develop solutions to prevent them in the future.
- Support on-call duties if needed.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of repository and artifact management tools such as Red Hat Satellite, Spacewalk, and Nexus.
- Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Knowledge of Linux internals, preferably RHEL/Ubuntu.
- Comprehensive understanding of DevOps/SRE, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and 12 Factor Principles.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management, orchestration, and IaC tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
- Familiarity with OS compliance policies (CIS Benchmark) and agile methodologies.
- Strong scripting skills in Groovy, Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Gradle.
- Knowledge of API communications (REST/SOAP) and GITOPS-driven configuration management.
- Team player with a quick adaptation to changing contexts, and a security-aware mindset.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the banking sector.
- Red Hat Certified Architect or equivalent.
- Understanding of Windows internals and virtualization technologies (KVM, Libvirt, oVirt, KubeVirt, OVM, OpenStack).
- Familiarity with software-defined storage technologies (CEPH, GlusterFS).
- Experience building mobile code for iOS and Android (Gradle & Cocoapods) and continuous deployment integration.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in a relevant technical position with hands-on automation expertise.
