Technology Engineer (UAE National)

We are seeking a hands-on Technology Engineer to join our Group IT Technology Chapter. This role supports the design, build, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in Cloudera CDP, automation, DevOps, containerization, and platform operations within complex, high-availability environments.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and support Cloudera CDP platforms.
• Provide Tier 2 production support for Cloudera environments.
• Troubleshoot Spark, Hive, and YARN jobs.
• Drive automation across platform operations.
• Develop automation using Shell, Terraform, Groovy, Ansible, and preferably Python.
• Support containerization and container management using Podman, Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various technical platforms.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Key Technologies:

• Cloudera CDP, Cloudera Data Services, Spark, Hive, YARN, Ansible, Terraform, Shell scripting, Groovy, Python, CI/CD, Agile, DevOps.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in engineering or operations, including at least 1 year in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera CDP platform operations.
• Good understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, and Agile practices.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English is expected; additional language skills may be beneficial.
