Technology Innovation Officer – Digital Solutions

Dautom is seeking a Technology Innovation Officer – Digital Solutions to support the digital strategy by working hands-on in a lab environment to prototype, test, and implement cutting-edge technologies. The lab acts as an experimental sandbox where new ideas are validated before full-scale deployment.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Contract Type: Long Term - 12-month renewable
Experience Required: 1–3 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the IT Innovating Lab in researching, prototyping, testing, and deploying innovative digital solutions.
• Facilitate innovation through collaboration, experimentation, and alignment with the company's digital strategy.
• Assist in the development and testing of prototypes (hardware/software).
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners/startups to identify emerging technology.
• Conduct research on new digital tools, trends, and technologies.
• Maintain lab equipment, infrastructure, and inventories.
• Support Proof of Concept (PoC) implementations and monitor pilot outcomes.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and reports.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, cybersecurity, and HSE policies.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in emerging technologies relevant to the organization’s industry.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify potential applications of emerging technologies for business improvement.
• Evaluate the feasibility, benefits, and risks of implementing new technologies or innovative solutions.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Innovation/Design Thinking Certification.

Technical Skills Required:

• Knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, IoT, Blockchain, etc.).
• Familiarity with prototyping tools and platforms (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
• Basic software development or scripting skills.
• Experience with collaboration tools and agile methodologies.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into solutions.

Internal and External Collaboration:

• Internal: IT Teams, Business Units, Digital Transformation Office.
• External: Startups, Technology Partners, Vendors.
