We are seeking a Technology Manager to support our crypto expansion in the UAE. This role will focus on technology risk, operational resilience, and regulatory preparedness. The Technology Manager will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Compliance teams, as well as local regulators, to ensure our crypto platforms comply with UAE regulatory requirements while aligning with our group standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Implementing and maintaining a technology and operational risk framework for crypto activities in the UAE.
- Ensuring compliance with ICT regulations and requirements.
- Supporting crypto licensing and regulatory engagements with local authorities (e.g., Central Bank of the UAE, VARA, DFSA, FSRA).
- Preparing data and materials for reporting to the entity's committees, management bodies, and external authorities.
- Assessing and enhancing the business continuity plan and performing operational resilience tests.
What You'll Need:
- 7+ years of experience in tech risk, operational resilience, IT governance, or tech architecture within financial services, fintech, crypto/digital assets, or a consultancy serving these industries.
- Knowledge of the crypto/blockchain domain.
- Strong understanding of technology governance, risk management, compliance, and operational resilience.
- Familiarity with technology controls across infrastructure, applications, data, security, and third-party services.
- Experience working in regulated environments, including engagement with regulators, auditors, or supervisory bodies.
- Impressive analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
