We are seeking a Technology Manager focused on technology operations, risk management, regulatory readiness, and resilience. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including Engineering, Product, and Compliance, as well as local regulators, to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards while adhering to our group guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate UAE infrastructure and network workstreams, including network connectivity and operational readiness.
- Support the Head of Technology in driving the local data localisation programme.
- Partner with Group DevOps and product engineering teams to convert UAE requirements into actionable tasks.
- Oversee operational governance, including incident management and service reviews.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with technology controls and manage execution of infrastructure controls.
- Provide technology-related updates to stakeholders regarding risks and timelines.
- Identify and manage technology-related dependencies and ensure risks are adequately analyzed and addressed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives post-launch.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in tech risk, operational resilience, IT project delivery, or governance within financial services or fintech.
- Understanding of UAE payment systems and typical technology dependencies.
- Experience in regulated environments: working with regulators and auditors in the UAE.
- Knowledge of technology controls across infrastructure, applications, and security.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of AWS/GCP, networking fundamentals, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Fluency in English.
Nice to Have:
- Expertise in AWS and/or GCP, including common architecture patterns.
- Experience in a solution or technical architect role.
- Familiarity with delivery and reporting tools, such as Jira/Confluence and SQL queries.
