Position

The Technology Operations Center Specialist (Outsource) plays a key role in the administration and troubleshooting of Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows systems. This position involves knowledge in network and security device troubleshooting, including firewalls, F5, routers, and switches. Additionally, the role requires expertise in database troubleshooting for SQL, Oracle, and Sybase, as well as infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

  • Check resource utilizations on all devices in scope and resolve any issues.
  • Provide support to application development teams related to server access, application management, and patch deployment.
  • Monitor the performance of On-Shift Operators and assist when necessary.
  • Educate the Technology Operation Teams about their roles and responsibilities.
  • Oversee IT systems for known problems and abnormal behavior, collaborating with seniors to resolve issues and reduce downtime.
  • Enhance existing operational procedures and participate in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) activities.
  • Engage in continual service improvement by analyzing current processes, identifying, and implementing optimizations.
  • Take accountability for issues and proactively search for potential problems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Banking Systems Support: Participate in the implementation of operational procedures and controls related to banking applications, ensuring operational services are maintained.
  • Infrastructure Support: Implement operations procedures for infrastructure services related to banking applications, ensuring healthy infrastructure components.
  • Service Management Framework: Possess knowledge and certification in Service Management Framework to implement it across various environments.
  • Service Reporting: Utilize data analytics skills to enhance business performance and produce monthly reports on capacity and availability management.
  • Information Security: Maintain compliance with information security policies and report any observed risks or incidents related to security.

Requirements

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in a Technology Operations Center, preferably in a team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of technology team operations and related activities.
  • Expert certificate in Service Management Framework qualification.
