Technology Procurement - Sub Category Strategic Sourcing Lead & Assistant Vice President

RAKBANK is looking for a Technology Procurement - Sub Category Strategic Sourcing Lead & Assistant Vice President to be part of its transformation journey. This role focuses on driving several strategic cost management and proactive sourcing projects, mentoring young sourcing talents, and being a change agent for strategic shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ability to run complex RFx, designing innovative commercial models and negotiating favorable deals for the bank.
• Conduct in-depth spend analysis to identify opportunities for spend optimization and supplier rationalization.
• Lead category strategy development and execution across key indirect spend areas, such as IT software and professional services.
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance and maintain a full audit trail in accordance with internal policy and regulatory requirements.
• Spearhead the implementation of AI-driven procurement processes to enhance efficiency in sourcing, contracting, and vendor management.
• Explore the latest technologies to automate routine tasks, allowing the team to focus on strategic and value-driven activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 9+ years experience in Supply Chain Management & Procurement.
• Familiarity with digital procurement tools and technologies, including AI applications.
• Excellent communication skills to manage difficult conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
