Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and operational support for MCX services, including Mission-Critical Push-to-Talk (MCPTT), MCVideo, MCData, dispatching, recording, location, group management, and related application services.
- Support the design, implementation, integration, testing, and acceptance of MCX solutions over private LTE/5G networks, including connectivity with radio, telephony, dispatch, recording, and external communication platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot MCX users, talk groups, service profiles, priorities, pre-emption, emergency calls, floor control, multimedia sessions, device onboarding, and application access.
- Support private mobile network service integration across RAN, EPC/5GC, IMS, and MCX application layers, and coordinate end-to-end incident resolution with mobile-network, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
- Monitor service health, availability, capacity, performance, alarms, license utilization, and quality indicators; identify degradation and take corrective action before operational impact.
- Troubleshoot MCX and telecom incidents using application logs, platform alarms, SIP/SDP traces, RTP analysis, packet captures, RTMT, CDR/CMR, gateway diagnostics, and mobile-network performance information.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions through approved incident, problem, and change-management processes.
- Develop and maintain high-level and low-level designs, configuration records, interface documents, test plans, acceptance criteria, standard operating procedures, recovery procedures, asset records, and support documentation.
- Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, patches, capacity expansions, technology refreshes, endpoint replacements, and end-of-life remediation with minimum disruption to live airport operations.
- Apply security controls to MCX and telecom infrastructure, including secure configuration, identity and access management, certificate management, network segmentation, logging, vulnerability remediation, backup, restoration, and disaster-recovery readiness.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, telecom operators, OEMs, system integrators, managed-service providers, and support partners to meet service levels and business requirements.
- Participate in planned maintenance, major-incident response, service restoration, and operational support outside normal working hours when required.
- Identify service-improvement opportunities that enhance resilience, user experience, operational efficiency, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
- Ensure all activities comply with organizational governance, safety, quality, change-control, cybersecurity, and airport operational requirements.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline. OEM certification in MCX/MCPTT or LTE/5G will be an added advantage.
- 4 years of relevant hands-on experience in mission-critical communications, with a focus on 3GPP MCX services (MCPTT, MCVideo, and MCData) over private LTE/5G networks, including practical exposure to MCX solution design, deployment, integration, and operational support. Experience with professional mobile radio (TETRA/DMR/P25) will be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and administering MCX services, including user, group, and talk-group provisioning, group affiliation, private and group calls, priority and pre-emption, emergency and imminent-peril calls, floor control, dispatch console operations, call recording, location services, MCX device onboarding, and end-to-end service troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of MCX service architecture and its integration with private LTE/5G networks, including the MCX application server, IMS/SIP core, EPC/5GC, RAN, APN/DNN, QCI/5QI-based QoS and priority handling, MBMS/eMBMS group communication, identity and key management (IdMS/KMS), and end-to-end security.
- Experience supporting MCX or mission-critical communication services in aviation, public-safety, telecom operator, large enterprise, or other 24x7 operational environments, including interworking with legacy radio, dispatch, and unified communications platforms.
- Good command of written and spoken English, with strong technical documentation skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with operational stakeholders, MCX OEMs, mobile network operators, and service providers.
