As a Compliance Technical Specialist (TS), you will work within a virtual team of sales, technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate and demonstrate the value of our Microsoft 365 Purview portfolio to our customers, empowering them to protect, govern, and safeguard their sensitive data while managing regulatory compliance requirements and maintaining customer and employee privacy. This role will allow you to strengthen both your technical expertise as well as your consultative selling skills across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based Data Security and Data Compliance solutions, architectures, programs, and technologies.
We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and credible specialist in Data Security (Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management) and/or Data Compliance (Records Management, legal eDiscovery, Audit, Communication Compliance, Compliance Manager) to join our global team of Technical Specialists. Responsibilities

• Scale Customer Engagements: Proactively engage with customers and build credibility as a trusted advisor for Data Security and Data Compliance with Microsoft 365 Purview solutions, addressing blockers, driving technical wins, and collaborating with product teams.
• Technical Depth and Breadth: Demonstrate deep technical understanding of cloud security architectures, providing product demonstrations and guiding teams in aligning technology with customer needs.
• Understanding of Organizational Gen AI Security Needs: Recognize Gen AI application implementation needs and devise solutions based on Data Security and Compliance knowledge.
• Build Strategy: Develop strategies to enhance customers’ Data Security and Compliance, delivering competitive knowledge and shaping strategic win plans with account teams.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal and external teams during the sales cycle, communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and serving as a liaison between customers and Microsoft.
• Develop and Maintain Technical Expertise: Stay updated on developments in Data Security and Compliance, grow product and industry knowledge, and mentor internal teams.
• Consultative Technical Selling and Challenger Mindset: Bring innovative ideas to customer problems through a customer-focused consultative technical selling approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, or a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and industry standards.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Information Security) are preferred.
