In this role as a Compliance Technical Specialist, you will collaborate with a virtual team comprising sales, technical, partner, and consulting resources. Your primary goal will be to educate and showcase the value of our Microsoft 365 Purview portfolio, empowering customers to protect and govern their sensitive data while addressing regulatory compliance and privacy needs. This position will help you enhance both your technical skills and consultative selling abilities across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based Data Security and Compliance solutions.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Security and/or Data Compliance specialist to join our global team. This position offers the flexibility to work up to 50% from home.
Responsibilities
- Scale Customer Engagements: Engage with customers proactively, establishing trust regarding Data Security and Compliance with Microsoft 365 Purview solutions, addressing challenges, driving technical wins, and collaborating with product teams.
- Technical Depth and Breadth: Demonstrate robust technical knowledge of cloud security architectures and solutions. Conduct product demonstrations, manage pilot programs, and ensure the integration of solutions into customer environments.
- Understanding of Organizational Gen AI Security Needs: Understand the security needs associated with Gen AI applications and propose solutions.
- Build Strategy: Develop strategies to enhance customers’ Data Security and Compliance posture and shape strategic plans based on customer feedback and competitive insights.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal and external teams throughout the sales cycle, translating complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Develop and Maintain Technical Expertise: Remain current with developments in Data Security and Compliance, and mentor internal teams.
- Consultative Technical Selling and Challenger Mindset: Utilize consultative selling techniques and deliver innovative solutions to customer challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, or a relevant educational background plus experience.
- 4+ years of experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture, and technology management.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect) are a plus.
