Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Solution Leader: Expertise in cybersecurity topics such as endpoint detection, threat intelligence, identity access management, and cloud-based solutions.
- Identity Architect: Experience in designing cloud-based identity and access management solutions, including hybrid architectures.
- Insatiable Learner: Constantly seeking knowledge beyond the standard scope.
- Practitioner Mindset: Proficient in implementing and practicing security solutions.
- Cloud Trust: Practical expertise in identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance.
- Technical Breadth: Experience with Microsoft 365 Security, Azure Security, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Windows 10.
- Technical Depth: Knowledge of competitive products (e.g., Okta, Symantec, Crowdstrike) and Microsoft solutions.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Scale Customer Engagements: Remediate blockers, lead technical wins, and build credibility with customers as a trusted advisor.
- Scale Through Partners: Support partner technical capacity and engage in partner sell-with scenarios.
- Build Strategy: Shape strategic win plans, tailor Microsoft messaging, and enhance team capabilities for XDR, zero trust, and cloud security.
- Solution Design & Proof: Demonstrate and oversee solution demonstrations, apply architecture patterns, and integrate solutions into customer environments.
- Education: Grow domain knowledge, mentor peers, and enhance understanding of Microsoft Security solutions and new opportunities.
As a Security Technical Specialist, your primary goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use Microsoft’s security-focused solutions, including extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, and cloud security solutions. You will work within a virtual team to educate customers, demonstrate solutions, and achieve/exceed quarterly sales/usage targets.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Certification in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Azure Security Engineer preferred.
