The primary goal of a Microsoft Technology Specialist (TS) is to win the technical decisions of customers to purchase and use Microsoft technology and cloud services. The TS is expected to own and win customers’ technical decisions, as well as identify new opportunities for Sales Specialists. As a TS, you will work within a virtual team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate customers, demonstrate solutions, and secure technical decisions. This role allows you to maintain and develop deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud technologies.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure Certifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator or Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
  • Deep domain knowledge in Data Center Migration, Windows Server, and SQL Server Migration
  • Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships to reach consensus on solutions/projects

Responsibilities

  • Own technical discussions for Azure Migration with customers
  • Build strategy and map customer vision into a strategy
  • Drive technical assessments to create a migration plan
  • Design the solution using technical knowledge and architectural approach
  • Scale through partners, acting as liaison between the partner and account team
  • Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and connect with the Engineering team
  • Identify and support the creation of new pipeline within customer engagements
