Accountabilities
- Drive end-to-end visibility and governance of technology expenditure across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, managed services, and professional services portfolios.
- Develop and maintain technology spend forecasts, financial models, dashboards, and executive reporting to support decision-making and budget management.
- Partner with Technology and Finance teams to support annual budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation models, and financial planning activities.
- Build robust business cases and commercial evaluations, including TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analysis for technology investments and transformation programs.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and supplier management activities to optimize commercial value and service performance.
- Establish supplier governance frameworks and conduct regular performance reviews covering service delivery, contractual compliance, risk management, innovation opportunities, and cost optimization.
- Identify and execute technology cost optimization initiatives across software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure, managed services, and workforce expenditure.
- Maintain and track a technology savings portfolio, ensuring realization and sustainability of financial benefits.
- Leverage data analytics to identify spend anomalies, supplier risks, cost reduction opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Business stakeholders to support strategic sourcing initiatives and influence investment decisions through data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Technology Finance, IT Commercial Management, Vendor Management, Strategic Sourcing, Technology Cost Management, or related disciplines.
- Proven track record managing significant technology spend portfolios and delivering measurable cost optimization and value realization outcomes.
- Experience within large enterprise environments with exposure to technology procurement, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure cost management, supplier negotiations, and executive-level reporting.
- Strong expertise in technology spend management, financial planning and analysis, commercial modelling, vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, Power Query, and Pivot Tables; Power BI experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial acumen, analytical capability, stakeholder management, influencing skills, executive communication, and results orientation.
- MBA, CIPS, CFA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
