Telecom Commissioning Engineer

About the Job: The opportunity involves being responsible for testing and commissioning Telecom systems engineering with low to medium complexity. You will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures to meet engineering requirements.
• Provide technical support for installation and manage testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare project documentation within your scope of deliverables, ensuring quality solutions that meet customer requirements while adhering to budget and contract constraints.
• Create work plans in your area of responsibility, ensuring timely and quality deliverables while assisting customers with technical issues.
• Collaborate with the supply chain function to communicate technical requirements for equipment or services with potential suppliers.
• Assign tasks to and coordinate with draftsmen, technicians, and administrative staff, participating in design review meetings to resolve design-related issues.
• Prepare project documentation for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of Telecom Systems and obtain approvals from utilities for design and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines while embodying the company's core values of safety and integrity.

Your Background:

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant industry is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a design and commissioning engineer for SCMS systems.
• Working knowledge of GPRS systems on various protocols (IEC101, IEC 103, IEC104, DNP 3.0, IEC 61850, MODBUS SCMS TCP/IP/Serial, SPABUS Communication) and PLC programming per IEC61131-3 is required.
• Sound experience with IED integration with SCMS/SCADA and Micro SCADA Pro control systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
