Telecom Systems Support Engineer

We are currently looking for a Telecom Systems Support Engineer for our Qatar operations. The role involves administering, designing, and supporting telecom and collaboration systems, including IP Telephony systems, PSTN/PRI/SIP telephony lines, ADSL lines, voice recording systems, video conferencing systems, and structured cabling. It is essential to ensure high availability and optimal performance of telecom systems across all Group locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Communications Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Telecom Systems support; experience in financial institutions is a plus.
• Professional training on the relevant systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Self-driven with well-developed leadership and team-building skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Handle efficiently and effectively the bank’s Telecom systems and services that extend to all users.
• Maintain relationships with selected vendors for Telecom hardware and software to ensure proper handling and support.
• Ensure compliance with Telecom policies and maintain proper documentation of Telecom Systems network.
• Perform on-site and remote technical support of Telecom Systems and equipment.
• Liaise effectively with Ooredoo regarding Telecom lines and services.
• Evaluate existing Telecom systems and propose possible improvements.
• Handle Telecom projects, ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines.
