Teller - Floater

About the Role
The Teller Floater position is designed for UAE Nationals, where you will deliver quality teller service to customers through accurate and efficient processing. This role requires you to project a professional image while performing various teller duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all teller counter service transactions, including:
  • Cash deposits and withdrawals
  • Drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders
  • Foreign currency purchases and sales
  • Cheque deposits
• Liaise with the Treasury department for centralized telegraphic transfers to obtain the best rates for VIP and high-net-worth customers in coordination with Head of Operations.
• Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters and process any other counter service transactions introduced by the organization.
• Cross-sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
• Conduct general reconciliation and control activities, including:
  • Act as one of the dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery
  • Assist the Head of Operations as the second custodian for dual control
  • Perform cash reconciliation and balancing
  • Carry out end-of-day balancing
  • Ensure proper filing
  • Understand and process all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of the company's Retail Banking products and services
• Familiarity with the company's Operational Policies and Procedures
• Understanding of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks
• General awareness of competitors in the local market
• Thorough knowledge of all regulations issued by the Central Bank of UAE
• Awareness of service standards and cross-sales
• Proficient computer skills.
