About the role
As a Tendering Engineer Intern, you will support the tendering team in preparing accurate, competitive technical-commercial proposals for power quality products and solutions. Under the guidance of experienced tendering engineers, you will gain hands-on exposure to customer requirements, engineering documents, costing, supplier coordination, risk review, and offer preparation.
This internship will develop your technical understanding, commercial awareness, analytical skills, and professional communication through contributions to live tendering activities, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.

How you’ll make an impact
As a Tendering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting real customer opportunities and learning how technical solutions are developed into competitive commercial offers. You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Factories, Project Management, and Sales, gaining exposure to the full tendering and quotation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer inquiries, specifications, drawings, and single-line diagrams. Identify missing information, assumptions, deviations, and clarifications, and support the bid/no-bid assessment under guidance.
  • Support the selection of suitable Power Quality solutions and equipment, and assist in preparing technical datasheets, scope of supply, bills of materials (BOM), and compliance documentation.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Factories, Project Management, Sales, and suppliers to obtain technical, cost, delivery, and commercial inputs required to build competitive offers.
  • Support the preparation of clear and professional customer communications, technical clarifications, and responses, ensuring customer requirements are properly understood and addressed.
  • Maintain accurate tender documentation and support internal reviews, approvals, and the timely submission of compliant, competitive, and high-quality offers.
  • Build knowledge of Power Quality products and applications, tendering processes, costing, commercial and contract terms, risk management, engineering methods, and quotation tools through practical involvement in real opportunities.
  • Work in accordance with company requirements for safety, quality, integrity, confidentiality, and governance. Take ownership of assigned activities while demonstrating respect, collaboration, and care for colleagues, customers, and the business.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Live the core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is preferred; candidates with qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related fields may also be considered.
  • Fresh Graduate with interest in tendering, sales engineering, technical-commercial proposals, and power quality solutions.
  • Good analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic language is required.
