The primary focus will be on building optimized Teradata solutions while ensuring production stability, performance, and reliable data delivery for BI, analytics, and ClearScape use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Data Engineering:

    • Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data pipelines.
    • Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows across raw, curated, and semantic layers.
    • Perform SQL tuning, workload optimization, and performance improvements.
    • Support data integration across Teradata Vantage, external systems, and analytics platforms.
    • Participate in release deployment, validation, and post-production stabilization.
  • Operations & Monitoring:

    • Monitor pipelines, ETL jobs, and workloads using Teradata Viewpoint.
    • Track system health, query performance, and operational alerts.
    • Perform daily health checks and publish status reports.
    • Ensure reliable end-to-end data processing across Lakehouse layers.
  • Incident & Problem Management:

    • Act as first point of contact for production incidents and failures.
    • Troubleshoot failed jobs, long-running queries, and data issues.
    • Perform job reruns, recovery, and SLA-based service restoration.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate with engineering teams.
  • Data Movement & Connectivity:

    • Support Data Mover jobs for replication, migration, and refresh activities.
    • Troubleshoot data synchronization and job failures.
    • Manage QueryGrid connectivity and performance across systems.
  • Business Continuity & Data Protection:

    • Monitor BCM for DR synchronization and failover readiness.
    • Support DR drills and continuity validation.
    • Ensure backup/restore using DSU and validate recovery readiness.
  • Analytics & Governance:

    • Support ClearScape Analytics workloads and advanced data processing.
    • Ensure data lineage, governance compliance, and audit readiness.
    • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
  • Release & Change Management:

    • Support deployments, code migration, and smoke testing.
    • Participate in change management and production cutovers.
    • Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.

Supported Technologies:
Teradata Vantage, Viewpoint, Data Mover, QueryGrid, BCM, DSU, ClearScape Analytics.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Teradata development and production support.
  • Strong expertise in Teradata SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint, Data Mover, QueryGrid, BCM, DSU, ClearScape.
  • Strong incident management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in 24/7 support/on-call environments.
