Testing Technician

The opportunity to work as a Testing Technician at Hitachi Energy in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, involves being an integral part of the High Voltage business. You will be responsible for overseeing all testing activities of capacitor banks (HV) while maintaining safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity to ensure that products and systems meet all requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform HV testing activities according to prepared test instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
• Adhere to all required test instructions and protocols during testing activities.
• Strictly follow safety rules and regulations.
• Utilize lean manufacturing methods (5s, 8 Wastes, Kaizen, etc.).
• Report safety hazards in the “Intelex” tool and document quality issues (“NCR”) in SAP/MES.
• Read and interpret HV drawings.
• Complete all necessary training courses (e.g., Safety, Lean Six Sigma “white belt”).
• Maintain clear communication and collaboration with colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Symbols, Schematic, and Mechanical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse group.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
