Position

The opportunity for a Testing Technician at Hitachi Energy will involve being a vital part of the High Voltage business in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for all testing activities of capacitor banks (HV), focusing on safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity to ensure that products and systems meet requirements and standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Perform HV testing activities following prepared test instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
  • Adhere to all required test instructions and protocols during testing activities.
  • Strictly follow safety rules and regulations.
  • Apply lean manufacturing methods (e.g., 5s, 8 Wastes, Kaizen).
  • Report safety hazards using the "Intelex" tool and report quality issues "NCR" in SAP/MES.
  • Possess the ability to read HV drawings.
  • Complete required training courses (e.g., Safety, Lean Six Sigma "white belt").
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for individual actions while supporting colleagues and the business.

Your Background:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Symbols, Schematic, and Mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
