We are currently seeking a Cathodic Protection Senior Engineer to support our projects in Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities
- Design cathodic protection (CP) systems for Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining, and petrochemical projects during both the FEED and detailed design phases.
- Prepare CP design drawings and documentation in accordance with relevant standards for pipelines, tanks, well casings, and underground metallic equipment.
- Develop statements of work (SOW), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Technical Bid Comparisons (TBC), Material Requisitions (MR), and other CP-related bidding documentation.
- Attend pre-design kickoff meetings with clients and present the CP design approach for new projects.
- Prepare site visit agendas and checklists.
- Review and verify engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
- Coordinate with various disciplines to integrate their input into deliverables.
- Conduct offshore CP system design, assessment, and monitoring.
- Collect site data essential for CP design including well casing, AC mitigation, and pipelines utilizing EM34/31 equipment.
- Execute site measurements necessary for CP design, including potential data of existing structures and current measurements with flow direction.
- Adhere to all safety requirements in line with company policy.
- Supervise CP system installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning.
- Manage deliverable submissions ensuring quality and proper documentation.
- Write technical reports and prepare presentations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Cathodic Protection Technologist (NACE CP Level 3).
- At least 5+ years of experience working on relevant projects, both onshore and offshore, primarily in design consultancies or GES+ companies.
- Proven experience in CP design preparation for well casings, tanks, pipelines, and vessels, with familiarity with relevant CP standards.
- Strong knowledge of AMPP standards.
- Hands-on experience using various CP survey equipment such as soil resistivity meters for current measurement and AC/DC potential data collection.
- Basic proficiency in MicroStation operations.
- Excellent command of English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of CP design preparation.
- Must possess a valid Saudi driving license and have driving experience.
