Key Accountabilities:
- Act as an ambassador for the organization, promoting positive behaviors aligned with the company’s principles, values, and culture.
- Ensure the highest level of safety is applied in all activities while following the Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all operational aspects and oversee implementation.
- Review core operational activities such as onboarding, disbursements, and settlements.
- Engage with clients, including follow-ups on facility utilization.
- Responsible for recording and reporting information in the Trade Finance platform, ensuring accuracy and adherence to turnaround times.
- Execute day-to-day operations to ensure services are delivered according to established guidelines.
- Conduct Client and Financial Institution KYC processes within defined SLAs and in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor ongoing KYC renewals, ensuring timely follow-up with clients and Financial Institutions for necessary documentation and related information.
- Execute loan transactions for all products offered by Trade Finance, adhering to defined processes and SLAs.
- Coordinate with clients for the efficient utilization of credit facilities.
- Ensure proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related policies as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Perform periodic reviews and maintain accountability for client documents such as facility agreements, and maintain the organization of operations documentation.
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders (sales, compliance, credit, product, etc.) to resolve exceptional cases.
- Manage all transactions on the platform and monitor ongoing transactions.
- Liaise with Financial Institutions to resolve client issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all operational controls are implemented according to policy and procedure.
- Highlight risks and incidents impacting the business to relevant stakeholders and ensure a mitigation plan is in place.
- Participate in the testing of new systems or changes to existing systems, sharing observations regularly.
- Provide periodic and ad-hoc updates to the Head of Operations regarding all operational aspects, including client feedback or escalating matters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5-10 years’ experience in Trade Finance or Corporate & Commercial Banking operations. Experience in Financial Institutions or Trade Finance Funds is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounts, Banking, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Trade Finance products, KYC, and AML guidelines.
