The company, a globally leading exchange for crypto derivatives, is seeking a Trading Technology Engineer (Java/Quant). Since its inception in 2014, the company has maintained an impeccable security record and offers a professional-grade trading platform for cryptocurrency derivatives traders. The platform boasts low latency, deep liquidity, and maximum availability, catering to traders with over 100 derivatives contracts and various cryptocurrencies.
Role Overview:
Join our Trading Engine team, which is integral to the company platform, managing brokerage and trading functionalities. This team handles critical tasks including:
- Order management
- Risk checking
- Position keeping
- PnL calculations
- Derivatives pricing
- Risk management
- Market data distribution
- Order matching
- Settlement
We aim to build a best-in-class engineering team to scale the company trading platform for millions of users and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain trading engine systems and features (risk management, pricing, order management)
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and product teams to optimize existing models and develop new algorithms for risk control
- Maintain and optimize order management and risk management systems
- Gather requirements, plan, execute implementation, and rollout both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of programming experience in quantitative/latency-sensitive applications in Java
- Excellent understanding of software development fundamentals (TDD, BDD, Domain-driven design, SOLID)
- Beneficial experience at a Hedge Fund, Investment Bank, or Exchange developing financial trading applications
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, especially in edge cases and testing
Nice To Have:
- Experience in developing execution algorithms and risk management systems
- Knowledge of FX/Crypto spot and derivatives markets
- Familiarity with KDB/q language
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
