Position

A leading bank in the UAE is seeking Murex consultants to assist in their treasury division transformation. The role involves providing both technical and functional expertise to implement, configure, and support Murex solutions within a treasury environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Murex environments, including EOD and related infrastructure across multiple environments to support both production and non-production.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Murex architecture and be capable of creating environments from scratch.
  • Expert in scripting with Unix shell and SQL, with the ability to debug various EOD issues and comprehend EOD scripts.
  • Support Pre-Core, Core, Accounting, Var, CVA, and MLC batches.
  • Collaborate with the service delivery team to design and implement new batches based on requirements.
  • Configure processing scripts, feeders, stored procedures for various modules, and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of overall EOD processes.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of working experience, with 7-12 years specifically in Murex environments.
  • Experience with the Murex 3.1 platform.
  • Familiarity with multiple asset classes: Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities, Structured Derivatives, and Exotics.
  • Understanding of Murex EOD architecture, key services, end-to-end processes, and Murex log structures.
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control M and Autosys.
  • Ability to resolve feeder exceptions, overflow issues, crashes, and unblock stalled batches.
  • Proficient in debugging Bash, Ant, Python/Perl scripts on Linux RHEL.
  • Strong understanding of database fundamentals, including query plans, SQL, and indexing.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Additional knowledge in workflows and reporting is a plus.
